Dr. Susan Perry
Dr. Susan Marie Perry has devoted her life to serving others through healthcare, leadership, education, and ministry. After earning her nursing degree from Florida International University, she was commissioned into the U.S. Air Force Nurse Corps, where she served for 25 years and retired with the rank of Colonel. Her career included caring for service members and families around the world, helping establish remote military hospitals, and supporting humanitarian outreach in Peru and Honduras. In each setting, she has been guided by a deep commitment to compassion, service, and caring for people in times of need. In 2012, Susan completed her Phd Degree in Nursing Science at the Uniformed Services University in Bethesda, MD.
Following her military retirement, Dr. Perry continued her calling through teaching and mentorship at the University of South Florida College of Nursing, where she served as Vice Dean. In 2019, Susan and her husband, Tony, moved to The Villages and became active members of Lake Deaton United Methodist Church. In 2025, Susan became Director of Congregational Care, a role that reflects her lifelong passion for walking alongside others with prayer, encouragement, and compassionate support. She is honored to serve the church family and help foster a community where people feel seen, cared for, and connected in Christ.
Susan and Tony have 4 children, 5 grandchildren and 2 great granddaughters…and 2 adorable dachshunds.
