History of Lake Deaton
WELCOME TO LAKE DEATON UNITED METHODIST CHURCH!

You can't tell the Lake Deaton United Methodist Church (LDUMC) story without telling a little bit of the New Covenant United Methodist Church (NCUMC) story, because we started as a part of NCUMC.  We will always be grateful for our beginning at NCUMC.

NCUMC began in 1999 with the focus of radical hospitality and passionate service. By being the hands, feet, and voice of Christ, NCUMC has became one of the fastest growing United Methodist Churches in America.

In February 2014, 153 people joined together in The Villages at Eisenhower Recreation Center for the first worship service of the Lake Deaton Campus of New Covenant.  Since that time the Lake Deaton Campus has steadily grown in weekly worship.  In December of 2018 we inhabited our current building located off Highway 44A.

In June 2020 we launched from NCUMC as a new United Methodist Church called Lake Deaton United Methodist Church (LDUMC).

Through an emphasis on Small Groups and finding places to radically serve our community and the world around us, LDUMC has become a place of laughter, joy and holistic community. We strive to live into our church DNA of radical hospitality and to provide a safe place for all people to come and experience how the Christian faith can impact their lives for the betterment of the world around them.
