Kenn Mann
Director of Worship
~John 3:16
For God so loved the world that He gave his one and only Son, that whoever believes in him shall not perish but have eternal life.
Kenn Mann
Kenn Mann serves as the Worship Director at Lake Deaton United Methodist Church, where he leads worship with a passion for excellence, creativity, and Christ-centered ministry. His goal is to create meaningful worship experiences that help people encounter God through music, prayer, and congregational praise.
Kenn’s musical journey began at the age of three when he received a toy piano from his mother and immediately began playing hymns and worship songs. Born and raised in Jackson, Mississippi, he has spent decades serving churches across the United States as a worship leader and songwriter.
He has written and led worship for numerous well-known Christian artists and leaders, including Babbie Mason, Charles Billingsley, David T. Clydesdale, Henry Blackaby, and Kay Arthur. His work includes over 50 published choral anthems with leading Christian music publishers, as well as four choral musicals.
Kenn’s most recent release, Trust You in the Dark (Sony Music, 2022), continues his legacy of worship music, and he is currently working on a new Passion Play musical, The Chosen Lamb, with author Angela Hunt. One of his songs, “A Heart of Praise,” was featured on George Beverly Shea’s final recording project with the Billy Graham Association.
He holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Music Education from Mississippi College and a Master’s Degree in Church Music from the New Orleans Baptist Theological Seminary. Above all, Kenn is dedicated to leading the church in worship that draws people closer to Christ.
