Harmony: Holiday Sounds… by Loida Divine
I don’t know what happens in your household… but in my house Christmas music makes its way into every corner of our house! We hear different songs, from “Joy to the World!” to “Grandma got run over by a reindeer.” It is for me a nice reprieve to Jim’s favorite 70’s music throughout the rest of the year, while I prefer the sounds of instrumental reflective music. You know what though? What all of us enjoy about music is the harmony that comes through the different chords. I am not a musician, but I love beautiful music, and I know the sounds must agree in tune in order to be pleasant.
Those harmonic sounds make me think about relationships. Our many relationships sometimes are “in tune” and sometimes they are definitely, “out of tune.” In order for our relationships to make a…
