Debbie Burkhart
Debbie grew up in Johnstown, Pennsylvania. She and her husband, Dennis, have been married for 45 years. They have 2 children, 5 grandchildren, and one great-granddaughter. Since moving to The Villages in 2022, Debbie is enjoying retirement, staying active playing golf, pickleball, and taking strength training and Zumba classes.
Before retiring in 2021, Debbie worked as a Congressional Inquiries Liaison and writer for the U.S. Department of Labor. She represented constituents of the New England and Mid-Atlantic States diagnosed with asbestosis and pneumoconiosis, reviewing their case files and working directly with Congressional and Senate offices on their behalf. After relocating to Baltimore, MD, she was the Office Manager at ISI, Inc., a voice and data networking company.
Debbie now loves working part-time as an assistant in the Finance Office at Lake Deaton. She sees her mission here as serving the Lord faithfully and lovingly while living out the church’s commitment to “Radical Hospitality.” and strives to follow Psalm 100:2, to "Serve the Lord with gladness".
