Lake Deaton UMC's inaugural animal fair and blessing event exceeded all expectations, drawing a large crowd of enthusiastic attendees. The 17 exhibitors showcased a variety of animals, creating a vibrant and lively atmosphere for all who participated.

The highlight of the event was undoubtedly the pet blessing ceremony, where furry friends of all shapes and sizes received special blessings, eliciting joyful barks and heartwarming moments. The petting zoo proved to be a hit with both children and adults, who delighted in interacting with the birds and animals on display.

Adding to the festive ambiance, the Ukulele club delivered two catchy and entertaining songs that resonated with the audience, further enhancing the overall experience. A poignant moment came during the devotion, where participants were reminded of the unconditional love that God has for all creatures, emphasizing the interconnectedness of all living beings.

A touching gesture was the grief table, where attendees could honor their departed pets by inscribing their names on stones to be placed in the butterfly garden. This act of remembrance provided solace and a sense of closure to those who had lost beloved animal companions.
