About the event
Lake Deaton UMC is partnering with Rise Against Hunger for an incredible opportunity to make a difference—right here in our community and around the world! Together, we will package more than 20,000 fortified meals for communities facing hunger. To make this event a success, we need 250 volunteers to roll up their sleeves, lend a hand, and be part of something truly meaningful! The Rise Against Hunger Volunteer Experience is more than just packing meals. It’s a fun, hands-on and educational experience that brings people together through an assembly-line process while helping provide nutritious meals to people facing hunger around the globe. Whether you come with your family, friends, small group, ministry team, or simply come on your own, there’s a place for you in this effort! Every meal packed represents hope, compassion, and love in action.
