In this time when there is much talk about division in the UMC, we would like to offer a study on division and how it can actually be a good thing. Believe it or not, division has been present in the church ever since Paul and Barnabas split paths with each other. During this six-week class, we will look at why the church divides, what comes from division and how division has actually helped the church become stronger (and at times weaker). This class will be held each Wednesday from July 6 to August 10. The class starts each week at 3:30 pm.
Join us every first Wednesday of the month from 9am to 12pm (June 12pm to 3pm). Making cards is a fun way to help meet the needs of our congregation and their families. Join us and bring adhesive, scissors or any cardmaking supplies you may have.

This is your opportunity to join Zoom Prayer Meetings on Thursdays at 3:00 p.m.
One of the ways we can put Christ’s Love in Action is through prayer. To help us accomplish that more fully, we have added a zoom virtual prayer meeting to the other ways we seek to help people experience the presence of Christ in their lives.
Our prayer ministry works to minister in healing prayer through weekly prayer services, prayer after worship services, classes on praying for the sick, and one-on-one prayer sessions.
To attend our Zoom Prayer Group, install zoom on your electronic device, whether desktop, laptop, or cell phone.
Lake Deaton UMC’s first-ever Virtual Small Group meets via Zoom on Mondays at 2:00 p.m. EST! Contact the church office or Stephanie Bradley to sign-up via e-mail by clicking here or at 847-987-8026.
